Chapter 2:
After hearing what the Sutra said, the Saunakadi rishis were delighted and asked again.
‘Hey Mahanubhava! Didn’t you say that once upon a time a person who had an animal had done tapas in this kshetra. Why did that Rishi do Tapas? Sudar said to the rishis that he should tell us its details in detail.
“O Rishis! The Brahmin named Mrigandu, who is Satyasandra, Jitendiri, without ego, who sees all the signs of life as himself, who is the Supreme Compassionate, who is pure-willed and who is blameless, was very sad because he had no son for many days.
In any case of the Kshetra, we should be able to get our intention to sacrifice and see that he should be able to attain a dormitory, and to see that our intention will be sacrificed as soon as possible.
‘O Narada Maharshi! He who does good to the world! . There is nothing in this world that you do not know. Hey Mahanubhava! For a long time I have been grieving as one who has no son. Like a Brahmin who does not meditate, like a Krihastha who does not perform adhyasthakaram, like a Dhana who is not worthy of charity, I am without soap. Ian! I am as unhappy as a moonless night, a stream without lotus flowers, and a wingless bird. O Lord! Like Pushpam without fragrance, Tapas without Bhootatha, Patni without character, Svitvan without virtue, Sadai without scholars, Rajyambo without king, Krihama without Lakshmi, you are
I am like a river that does not exist, like a mind without devotion, like a bull without limbs, like an elephant without courage, like an elephant without praise. I have an unhappy mind.
Hey God! Narada Mahamunivar, who has the ability to know everything through wisdom, says smilingly, looking at Maharshi Mrigandhu, who is bowing to him many times, he should tell the servant a secluded place to perform penance in order to obtain a good son and finally attain Mokshananda.
“O Sage Mrigandu! Everything you have said is not true. He is called a son by the Maharishis because he saves his father from the hell called Buddha. When a man is born in the world, he is born as a debtor to the three gods, sages and pitrus And the Pitrus by Rothpadana After satisfying and removing the debt, one should concentrate on attaining moksha
Told by elders. And performing Yagya with Agnihotram, Vedatyanam and Poornadakshina, even if these three are combined, is not equal to one-sixteenth of the merit of Putrodpati. And a sonless griham is called Sunyam. Sonless wealth also does not belong to devas. He who has no son is impure, as the family of the sonless is destroyed. Therefore, it is worth trying for the sake of getting a son by the wise.
Hey Mahamuni! I will soon tell you a holy place where you are doing your abhishta for the sake of your son. In the world, the rivers like Ganga, Yamuna, Krishna, Tungapadrai, Godavari, Sarayu etc. reach the ocean just as the goddess reaches her hero.
Even so, the Kaveri river, which flows due to the blessings of the people living in the south, and which is the mother produced by the Sahi Parvata and has the holy tirtha, cures all sins just by looking at it. Decorated with crops on both banks
the Mother, the Kaver, which is united by many holy shrines lined with two ma, kamugu, jackfruit and coconut trees, separates and flourishes the inner Cholamandalam.
All the people who are born in the Ikkaveri Theeram are also doing Punya. Bakshis born in the Kaveri Theeram are also sattvic in nature as they drink the Athirtha. In that river, the Brahmins perform Agni Hotrathis, do Vedatyanam, worship the imperishable Sambashiva Murti with devotion, meditate, read and listen to his stories and enjoy Brahmananda. And the Brahmins who live in that place do not perform Varuta Kalakshepam. No idle talk. If even the cows and buffaloes on the banks of the river Kaveri, because the wind of the river blows on them, how can we say the blessing that the people who take a bath get?

Go to Amravanakshetram in Kaverithira and do tapas by meditating on Lord Suttaratne.
Hey Mrikandu Sage! In that Ksheti Rath, the sadhus, who are hopeless in all the pleasures, defeated the Kamagrodhatis and meditated on Sudavanesar as Jithendris and were doing Tapas for most of the Sadha period. They finally reach the pure world.
In this way, Narada, who was full of good character and came from the heavenly world, preached the glory of that pure land to Mrikandu Maharishi, who was intent on doing penance for his son.
