Chapter 16
Shaunakhati Rishis! In this way, Kaholagar’s son Marudandan took Matrugamanam and went on a pilgrimage to all the holy tirthas and holy kshetras on this earth with the decision to perform the atonement told by the Brahmins to get rid of that sin.
Trikalam as Marauri Darithu Jatadahari. Bathing and worshiping deities here and there and visiting many places for twelve years, the sin did not go away at all. While going around in this way, Kaveri came to Thiram as a goddess. He went to many kshetras and theerthas there and finally reached Amravana in the Gayatri river theertha.
When he got there, he felt happy. He took a ritual bath in the Punya Theertha built by Brahma’s tapas and worshiped the Amravana Lingam, the Swayambu worshiped by Maharishis such as Mrigandhu. With devotion
He worshiped the wing. Then he made a severe tumult at Tabovana, a mile to the east of it. After 5 or 6 days, all the iron bells around his neck. Turned into pure gems.
The Rishis like Jaimini and others there were surprised to see this and looked at Marudandan and said, “O Brahmanotham! Your sin has been removed. Because of showing the Amravana Lingam and performing penance here, you have become pure from your matru kamana dosha. There is no reason for this. Because the iron around your neck has now become a jewel.” After listening to the words of the sages, Marudandan became enraptured, freed from all evils and joined with Brahmadejas. Then Ammahan built an agrakara called Agamharam (anchor) at the place where he had done penance. In the midst of that agrakara, he consecrated a statue called ‘Marutandeshwarar’. He worshiped the Brahmins. If one worships this lingam daily, he immediately gets rid of all the evils.
Then Marudandan worshiped sages such as Jaiini and said. O Maharishi! By your darshan and bathing in the river Gayatri at this Kshetra and worshiping this Amravana Lingam, I am freed from this mahabapa too. But my mother is very sinful because of my association and many polygamous relationships. She should be freed from sin and made holy. O Maharishis! Just as when the sun rises in the world, darkness destroys it, so the grace of the Sadhus, upon whomsoever it falls, all their sins are destroyed.’
Seeing Marudanthan saying this, Nishi Sireshtra Jaimini says. “Marudanta! Your mother should be dressed in black and with perfect vows, bathe in this Brahma Theerthadathal every day and visit Amravaneswarar and worship him with pratakshina namaskaratis.
Marutanda! Now the Angaraka Chaturthi, which has recently become dark, is coming. The elders who know the majesty of the time have called this Chaturthi to Parva Kalam and Grahana Kalam
They will say it as a matter of fact. All the dharma performed on that day, such as bathing, charity, prayer, homam, etc., also gives great results. Let me elaborate on the merits of this day. Can.
Once upon a time, when Lord Dakshayan was performing severe tapas, the sweat from his forehead fell on the earth. From that earth was born the red-complexioned Angaraka. The child was brought up by Bhoodevi from her mother’s place. As Bhumi nurtured, this child was named Belaman and Maheyan. It is called Angarakan because of its special color. The greats say that the day of his birth is called Angaraka Week, which is derived from Shiva’s Tejas, and the birthday of this Angaraka is very auspicious for Sananathanati karmas. We anoint your mother with punyatheerthans in that Supadinam. By this all her sins will be removed immediately. There is no connection in this,” he said.
Immediately Lilavati dressed in black and followed Vrataupavasa rules, chanting Siva name, Sivadyana and doing pooja against Angaraka Chaturthi
She was watching. When that day arrived, Sage Jaimini along with all the Rishikeshtras took the Brahma Theertha in a casket, enchanted it with Vedic mantras and anointed it in her Sirus as a magical source. Immediately Lilavati’s sins were removed and the black dress turned into a pattaadi. 6
Then Lilavati bowed down to Jaimini and other rishis. “O Sadhus! Because of your darshan and Amra Vanesa darshan, we have become holy. The joining of sadhus in the world washes away the sins of men, gives wisdom, seed, life, wisdom, etc.”
Then look at her Jaimini Rishiva girl! By coming to this Amravana Kshetra, you have become free from all sins. The proof of this is that the iron around your child’s neck has become a gem and your black dress has become leather. Now let’s call the son and go near Bartha.” On hearing this, Lilavati bowed down to Maharishi and said, “My pious Bartha chased me away from home as punishment for my crime. At this time, by the grace of God, my dosha was removed
However, my husband does not know about this matter, so even if my son and I mentioned this matter, my husband would not believe me. You won’t include me. What to do about it? What can be done to make him believe? she asked.
Immediately Jaimini Maharishi said, “You are telling the truth. I will listen.” To that, a woman and a man secretly got married in Samivana. Their Pandus in Halasya (Madurai) Kshetra did not believe this. Immediately, in sympathy with the couple’s prayers, the Sami tree and pond in that forest were found in Madura Kshetra to bring faith to the Pandus. Similarly, if your husband does not believe that your sin has been removed, they will appear there as a witness to your salvation.
Immediately, Marudandan, who is Mahadharmishta and Vriddharaya, with his father and mother
He bowed and narrated the events that took place in detail. On hearing this, Kagalakar and his Pandus were surprised and did not believe in what they were saying. Knowing this, Lilavati said, ‘My sins were destroyed in the presence of those balls. In the case of Sathyamay, Amravanathi Thirukum Mamaram and Brahmatheertha should appear in this place’ she said. After saying this, Brahma Saras and Mamaram suddenly appeared in front of them and disappeared like lightning. Immediately, Skalama Bandhu and Marutandana and his mother were sinless and worshiped them and were very happy with them. Kagalakar also reached his wife who had been separated from his son for a long time and felt great happiness.
Shaunakhati Rishis! Those desirous of having a son, and mothers afflicted with maharoga, on Tuesday in Prithakaal, bathed in Brahmatheertha and worshiped the vinga in silence, would attain their ablutions
If Chaturthi falls on Tuesday, no one can say that its benefits are rich. Whoever worships Amravaneshwar on that day, his abhishta is fulfilled. This is the truth”.
